I had an interview today.
I think it’s a perfect fit.
It’s $15 an hour, which is good here.
It’s at a museum, running the place pretty much.
Wanna know the downsides? It’s only 25 hours a week and no benefits.
Yeah, I know this isn’t what I should be looking for in a job right out of college. I need something more stable. But really this is stable. They’re not going to fire me, the museum’s not going under so I’m staying and there is a possibility for one day having full-time.
It was a board I met with today. There was four people on the board and I met with only three because one had a funeral. There was this old cowboy. I knew I could relate to this guy. I do old ranchers……
That came out wrong.
I meant that I understand them. I mean I only grew up around farmers and ranchers and cowboys of all ages. We ended up talking about cattle and foreigners and the civil war. It was a productive meeting between us if we were alone….
That came out wrong again? I’m sorry, I’m not doing well with the innuendos tonight am I?
I think I throughly impressed these people with my old soul, see last post. Why couldn’t I do this with a full-time job? I need a full-time job. But it is something I can see myself doing and it’s in an oil field area so there’s going to be lots of young guys hopefully with just as old souls. Let’s hope for the best! Other wise I’m stuck in Dickinson.
